Drifa Design

Designer clothes from Icelandic wool and silk. I'm an educated handicraft teacher. I've designed and worked with textile, both for clothing and knitting and my designs have been published in a local knitting magazine. For a while I've concentrated on felting with silk and merino wool. I use black and white silk which I lay the wool upon and felt together with silk, linen, cotton and silver- and cold threads for decoration.

In 2005 Lúka Art & design was established by the twinsisters Gunnhildur and Brynhildur Thordardottir. Brynhildur is a textile and fashion designer and Gunnhildur is an artist and information manager.
